Team Description
The Senior Finance Analyst will report to the Finance Manager responsible for the Transformation, Industrialization & Bombardier Operational Excellence team. The position will be located in Centre Administrative, Dorval. This position represents a great opportunity to be directly involved in the company’s finance and controlling processes and put your talent at work in building a best-in-class organization that will drive reliable and consistent financial performance of Bombardier. This position is also a great opportunity to put your leadership skills at full display, to influence decision making and to drive performance.
What are your contributions to the team?
- Be the focal finance business partner to the VP and Directors of the Transformation, Industrialization & Bombardier Operational Excellence team
- Supervise one (1) financial analyst
- Lead and facilitate the budgeting, the forecasting & strategic plans for the Transformation, Industrialization & Bombardier Operational Excellence team
- Lead the finance governance of monthly spend on projects of the Transformation, Industrialization & Bombardier Operational Excellence team
- Participate in the development and implementation of various projects.
- Continuously work on improving and streamlining our processes
- Support the Business Development Group regarding business cases
- Exercise leadership to influence business decisions
- Maintain strong relationship with the finance manufacturing teams
- Identify financial risks & opportunities
- Coordinate & work on special projects
- Promote the Bombardier Operational Excellence (BOE) philosophy
- Support your business partner on ad hoc requests
- Other related tasks.
How to thrive in this role?
- You hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or in a related field
- You hold an accounting title (CPA) (would be considered an asset) or an equivalent experience
- You have seven (7) to ten (10) years of experience with supervision (would be considered an asset)
- You show team leadership, efficient communication and coaching
- You adapt well to an environment in constant change
- You are speaking fluently French and English (bilingual)
- You demonstrate initiative and independence in carrying out multiple tasks, as well as strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills while being humble and open to the ideas of others
- You love to work with data, have strong analytical skills and synthesis capability
- You have knowledge of SAP and other ERP systems or are eager to learn (would be considered an asset)
- You are rigorous, autonomous and action oriented
- You have a high level of integrity and strong sense of personal ownership and accountability
- You have advanced knowledge of Microsoft O365 (especially in Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- You are proficient and recognized for your stakeholder management skills while maintaining strong relationships with your peers, partners and customers
