For our Rail Control Solution global business, we are currently looking to recruit a Logistics Methods Engineer for our site in Stockholm, Sweden.


The Logistic Methods Engineer undertakes Supply Chain strategies and optimize supply chain related activities on ongoing projects, The supply chain strategies include the definition of the logistics requirements in terms of material flow, transport, storage and packaging.

Their main objectives are to define logistic requirements and optimizing material flow, warehouse and inventory levels. Supply Chain decisions are supported by business cases and based on total cost.

They will Implement the strategy and deploy solutions “plug and play" with external partners for VMI, Consignment or logistic platform.

Your Responsibilities


- Plan and lead the implementation of supply chain strategies according to targets and KPI.

- Develop business cases under consideration of TCO.

- Lead warehouse optimization.

- 3PL contract management.

- Lead the deployment of the logistics flow.

- Develop solutions like VMI, logistic platform etc.


- Define packaging strategies in terms of standard.

- Investigate concrete packaging requirements for production and define the methods with the respective area.

- Define transport strategies.

- Investigate concrete alternatives for transport and define guidance for the sites and goods categories.

- Lead the deployment of the transport strategies.


- Reach targets and KPIs, define and implement actions for optimization where required.

- Measure logistic processes with the contribution of others functions to improve quality and reduce costs

- Identify potential for improvement in the whole value chain.

- Develop efficient problem solutions in collaboration with the local Logistics Methods Team.


- Involve employees in the implementation of new strategies (communicate, train, follow).

- Knowledge transfer concerning new tools and methods.


- Regular reporting to Management (Balance Score Card use, KPI).

- Bachelor’s/ Master’s degree in Engineering and/or Business studies or equivalent education.

- Typically, 3 – 5 years’ experience in a relevant role

- Extensive knowledge of materials management as well as manufacturing processes and tools and IT-Systems.

- Warehousing

- Multimodal transport, VMI management, Incoterms

- Negotiation skills for the LRD´s with the Vendors, good understanding of the Procurement processes.

- Sound understanding of manufacturing engineering and all interfacing functions in a project

- Can do spirit, easy communicator on different levels.

- Open minded, easily adaptable, positive attitude towards new challenges.
