Our location in Stockholm is the Global Head Office of Bombardier's rail control solutions division. The site has over 100 years experience of signal technology, and supplies control and signal system solutions all over the world. Our high specialized team is engaged in product development of safety signaling.

We are currently looking for a Validator for our RCS global business


In this role, you will evaluate the fulfilment of requirements within a signalling project. Your focus is on product safety, but also on quality and the evaluation on how well a product fits user needs.
As Validator, you are organizationally independent from product development. You will evaluate products in terms of both hardware, software and integration aspects.
You will base your work on personal participation during testing as well as on evidence generated by other functions. You will interact with different project team members and both internal and external Safety Assessors.


- Product validation according to plans and defined processes
- Evaluation that a product meets its purpose and is fit for its intended environment
- Ensure that all hazards, deviations and non-conformities are handled appropriately
- Participate in reviews and testing the product under validation
- Ensure consistency of the safety evidence
- Validate that the specified process is followed and all outputs are produced according to plan
- Validate the traceability between requirements and test to demonstrate that the delivered system meets its purpose and is fit for its intended environment
- Check that all hazards and the deviations or non-conformities are closed or mitigations are applied.
- Participate in reviews and testing of the system to be validated as much as possible
- Check that the safety evidence is consistent with required SIL (safety integrity level); create LOVPs (List of validation points) for issues regarding verification and validation, and produce validation reports.


- Relevant engineering degree (e.g. Electronics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering), preferably a Master’s degree

- Some sort of safety-related engineering background is a strong advantage

- Knowledge of CENELEC standards is highly appreciated (EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129)

- Good experience working in an engineering field

- Analytical mindset, with an eye for detail

- Safety-related engineering experience is a strong advantage

- Very good English communication skills
