What are your contributions to the team?
As part of the Engineering Skills Management team and within the Engineering, Product Development and Bombardier Defense organization. You will be instrumental in achieving our mission: “Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy to ensure the Engineering organization attracts, retains, and optimizes top industry talent to achieve its objectives.”
In your role you will:
- Contribute to the development and execution of the Engineering Skills Management Roadmap, with a focus on New Program Development, Sustaining, Aftermarket, and Defense sectors.
- Propose and scope strategic initiatives aligned with the organization’s 5-year vision, including detailed 18-month implementation plans, budget and resources requirements.
- Lead and execute key initiatives under the core pillars of Engineering Skills Management (Knowledge Management, Engineering Training, Career Tools)
- Communicate priorities, influence stakeholders, promote collaboration, and support decision-making with Engineering Community leaders with data-driven insights and recommendations.
- Benchmark, propose, and implement innovative improvements to organizational effectiveness, processes, and tools, including AI-enabled solutions.
- Define, monitor, and report on the effectiveness and impact of engineering talent management initiatives.
- Coach and mentor Strategy, Governance and Engineering Skills Management team members to support growth and strengthen organizational capability.
- Develop and deliver training and knowledge transfer for engineering teams, including Engineering Essentials and Fundamentals Training.
- Provide technical leadership to engineering professionals and technologists, ensuring quality execution and continuous improvement.
How to thrive in this role?
- Bombardier experience and strong working knowledge of BES, with more than 15 years of relevant aerospace experience in Project and/or Program management across varied assignments and projects.
- A bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, or equivalent.
- Excellent multitasking, presentation, and communication skills, with the ability to influence without authority.
- Hands-on experience leading problem-solving and Kaizen activities.
- Strong organization and leadership skills, with the ability to work independently, take initiative, and balance strategic and detailed thinking.
- Very good written and oral communication skills in English.
- Good computing skills and proficiency in MS Office, Excel, PowerBI, Sharepoint etc.
