You will provide strategic guidance and hands-on operational support, integrating HR, safety culture, and quality‑aligned behaviours to drive operational excellence across the Australian business.

You will provide strategic guidance and hands-on operational support, integrating HR, safety culture, and quality‑aligned behaviours to drive operational excellence across the Australian business.
What are your contributions to the team?
- Report directly into the International Manager, Human Resources.
- Develop and deliver a people strategy aligned to organisational, operational, safety and quality priorities.
- Oversee all elements of human resources and safety to include the end-to-end employee life cycle.
- Partner closely with senior leaders to build a high performing, values aligned culture.
- Partner with safety and quality leaders to address human‑factor contributors to incidents, errors, documentation issues, and quality escapes.
- Partner with quality to shape behaviour‑based safety programs, supervisor safety leadership expectations, and sitewide engagement in safety.
- Drive organisational culture initiatives reinforcing accountability, teamwork, customer focus, safety discipline, and operational excellence.
- Own engagement strategy and execution, including action planning, communication rhythms, recognition programs, and culture‑building activities.
- Build strong internal communication channels that reinforce safety, quality, and people messages.
- Position the organisation as a credible, attractive employer through strong employee experience design.
- Align people and safety workstreams to operational demands (shift structure, load, resourcing, experience mix, capability).
- Work with operations to identify barriers to consistent quality and safe performance, proposing people‑centric solutions.
- Strengthen technical and behavioural training governance, ensuring certification, compliance, and continuous learning.
- Ensure change management practices effectively support operational transitions, regulatory expectations, and business growth.
- Ensure compliance with employment law, safety legislation, and organisational policies.
- Oversee mandatory safety training, audits, and corrective actions from a people‑leadership perspective.
- Manage people‑related risk, incident learning cycles, and cultural drivers affecting safety and quality.
- Maintain accurate reporting and leadership visibility of people, safety and culture metrics.
How to thrive in this role?
- You have several years’ professional and progressive experience working independently across people and safety functions.
- You have experience in integrating people and safety processes and policies.
- You have experience working in a multinational corporation.
- You hold a bachelor’s degree in related field or several years of professional and progressive experience in related field.
- You have strong computer skills necessary to learn and/or operate word processing spreadsheet, database, email, and web-based applications
- You have the interpersonal skills necessary to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, employees, management, and contractors.
- You have knowledge of local Australian employment and health and safety law
- You have thorough knowledge and experiences of HR processes including recruitment, compensation, benefits and performance management.
- You have strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- You can work independently, while reaching out to your global team for support as needed
- You have strong planning and organizational skills necessary to plan, prioritize, and coordinate workload within a multiple project setting
