Purpose of the Role:

Install and test & commission the signaling DTS (Data Transmission System) & TWC (Train to Wayside Communication) system in accordance with the contractual commitments and applicable process and documents.

Primary Responsibilities:

- Prepare, Update & submit on time Installation, Test and commissioning documents (records, reports, method statements, technical documents, requirement management and etc) in accordance to the required specification.
- QMA (Quality Management Assurance) Monitor, supervise, & report the site installation activities and ensure sub-contractor’s quality of work achieves the desirable quality level.
- Report all issues related to materials (MNCR), Design Issue(NCR), Faulty Equipment(FR), following the process of Change Order, before site execution, Contract awareness is necessary in related field, Configuration Management, Planning, Follow internal process to raise any non-conformities found at site.
- Troubleshoot the system errors found and liaise with Engineering team for remedial actions.
- Co-ordinate with Engineering (DTS&TWC) to set up Melbourne Lab and perform System Tests before release to site.
- Undertake the site test & commissioning activities. Perform system functional tests and ensure that all interfaces to the signalling DTS&TWC systems are appropriately tested according to the procedures. Register the test results and obtain signoff from the customers.
- Integration between the onboard system, communication, wayside system is required.
- Preparing a plan and ensuring to deliver as per committed plan,
- Troubleshooting, Log analysis in case of any issues encountered.
- Subcontractor Management and Training of the subcontractor
- Punchlist reconciliation
- Proper tracking database for all subcontractor issues on the site
- Empowerment of the subcontractor including training, Demonstrating, Supervising
- Cross verification/Random Check.

- Demonstrate a personal commitment to the SHE Cultural Framework, policies, Safety Essentials and Management System requirements and expectations.
- Develop and maintain an awareness of SHE hazards and associated risks and demonstrate a commitment to eliminate or minimise those risks.
- Understand and effectively undertake SHE accountabilities.
- Strictly follow the local safety rules and procedures as stated in the health and safety plan

Qualifications

Key Requirements:

- Bachelor's Degree in Telecommunication, Electrical, related fields
- 3+ years of work experience in Signalling Systems with DTS(Data Transmission System) & TWC(Train to Wayside Communication system) background
- Experience with Cisco Switches is must.
- Experience with Data Network.
- Experience with Wifi, Antennas, Radio communications is required.
