Senior Internal Auditor

Overview

Bombardier United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor to support our Internal Audit team. The Senior Internal Auditor will report to the Internal Audit Director in Montreal. The position will be in Biggin Hill. What are your contributions to the team?

• Execute audit projects based on a risk assessment.
• Support the Sustainability team and audit all metrics.
• Evaluate financial controls, reporting systems and compliance processes.
• Prepare audit reports that adequately communicate the findings.
• Conduct follow-up reviews to validate that process improvement outcomes have been achieved.
• Develop effective and value-added partnerships while maintaining audit independence and objectivity in all assignments.
• Provide ongoing analysis to management to identify new project or service opportunities.
• Carry out special projects assigned by Internal Audit management.
• Support internal controls as part of any ad hoc project.
• Present financial information and analysis to senior management in a clear, concise, and compelling manner.
• Act as a lead on any assignment entrusted by management.
• You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively translate financial data into actionable insights for various audiences.

How to thrive in this role?

• You possess a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance and have eight (8) years of relevant experience.
• You hold a professional accountant designation (CPA or CIA) or equivalent experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Excel, and data analysis and visualization tools (e.g.Power BI).
• You have a strong understanding of business risks and analytical skills to evaluate areas of risks and to develop appropriate solutions.
• You possess knowledge of auditing frameworks such as COSO, COBIT.
• You are fluent in French and English, both spoken and written.
• You are organized and manage time efficiently, while working toward aggressive deadlines.
• You have excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
• You have strong experience in project management.
• You demonstrate skills in preparing presentations for executive level management.
• You are a team player.
• You can work independently with little supervision and make sound decisions.
• You demonstrate the ability to think both analytically and creatively.
• You are detail oriented.
• You have the ability to travel when required (15% of the time).
