What are your contributions to the team?

•    Ensure effective leadership and supervision of allocated personnel in providing structures support for the Operations and UMT teams.
•    Promote a Safety and Just culture within the team and ensure that all company policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
•    Deputisation for Operations Manager as required. 
•    Monitor and check labour requirements for structures support on all projects in work. 
•    Communicate internal technical updates to the operations leadership and project management teams on the status of assigned sheet metal tasks on the aircraft and in the Structures Workshop. 
•    Proactively lead continuous improvement within the team and promote accountability for assigned tasks.
•    Ensure IOR and Accident reports are completed and submitted in a timely manner as required.
•    Highlight issues to the Operations leadership before the GEMBA walk or ensure they are escalated in good time to the relevant leadership team. 
•    Assist the Manager Operations with resource management, motivating and the developing of team. 
•    Ensure that the team are productive when there are no structures work. 
•    Ensure you and the team are all up to date with Read & Signs. 
•    Be responsible for team compliance with environmental and Health & Safety regulations/guidelines.
•    Ensure that structures personnel assigned to tasks are qualified and/or competent to perform them.
•    Monitor workmanship standards and compliance with regulations and company procedures to ensure continued airworthiness of the aircraft. 
•    Ensure that documentations are up to date and tasks are completed with efficiency and compliant to quality standards ensuring the use of applicable technical data. 
•    Provide input on future GSE, tooling and consumable requirements to the Manager Operations and Director of Operations. 
•    Supporting and implementing business change with a culture of continuous improvement

How to thrive in this role?

• Recognised aeronautical training for aircraft mechanic or workshop tradesman.
• Up to date EWIS, FTS, HF training.
• Demonstrated experience of managing sheet metal workers in AOG, line and base maintenance environments as well as supporting multiple projects simultaneously.
• Working knowledge of Environmental, Health & Safety rules, Human Factors, Human performance/limitations, and regulations as they apply to safety and environmental aspects of aircraft maintenance operations
• High level of understanding of Part M/CAMO roles and responsibilities, inclusive of interaction to 145 MRO
• Excellent technical decision-making ability on structures tasks and can make sound and logical decisions under pressure.
• Effective interpersonal interaction abilities with good written and verbal communication skills.
• Flexible and adaptable to support planned and ad-hoc projects with sheet metal tasks.
• Ability to effectively escalate unresolvable customer, technical, compliance or personnel related issues.
• Substantiated experience in growing individual capability by motivating, coaching and developing others.
• Ability to demonstrate intermediate to advanced computer literacy and have an excellent understanding of Engineering IT systems.
• Effective in delegating and encouragement of teamwork, considerate and respectful in all aspects of your work.
• Demonstrate responsibility for your own work and continued professional development.
