What are your contributions to the team?

1.    Adhere to Bombardier General Work Requirements
2.    Support all aspects of bi-weekly payroll pay cycle
3.    Analyze audit reports for the payroll 
4.    Responsible for monthly reduction remittals
5.    Under the direction of the payroll manager, partner with the HRBPs and management to facilitate problem resolution, find solutions and facilitate changes to help secure an accurate payroll
6.    Basic knowledge of overtime calculations and Paid Time Off (PTO) concepts
7.    Basic knowledge of payroll garnishment concepts and US Payroll taxes, Federal, State(multiple) and Local 
8.    Monitor time and attendance systems to ensure accurate hours are remitted for the payroll
9.    Coordinate and perform activities to update employee’s’ records with other HR departments (U.S. and Canada), including onboarding and terminations.
10.    Support business administrative assistants with payroll related activities
11.    Perform daily and weekly time and labor audits, month end reconciliation or payroll account and quarterly payroll audits
12.    Assist in the weekly maintenance of the payroll databases to ensure that payroll processing is completed in a timely manner consistent with company deadlines 
13.    Respond to payroll-related questions provided by employees and HR.

How to thrive in this role?

    Bachelors Degree in related field or equivalent experience
    Typically a minimum of 3 years professional and progressive payroll experience in related field 
    Basic knowledge of payroll processing, including but not limited to, direct deposits, employee tax withholds and gross to net calculations
    Working knowledge of company policies and procedures affecting payroll
    Working knowledge of payroll concepts, practices and procedures 
    Ability to manage multiple priorities, a high volume of requests and tasks, while meeting requirements and deadlines. 
    Exposure to multi-state taxes and local tax fillings and garnishments 
    Interpersonal skills necessary to work with co-workers, other departments and government agencies
    Communication skills necessary to effectively train, update, persuade, and/or facilitate discussions with all levels of management (i.e., supervisor training)
    Computer skills necessary to operate MS Office Suite, web-based applications and various HRIS systems

ADDITIONAL DESIRED/PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS 
    Basic knowledge of payroll tax remittals
    Basic knowledge of Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA)
    SAP payroll experience
    ADP Smart Compliance experience
    Workforce Time System
