What are your contributions to the team?
- Adhere to Bombardier General Work Rules.
- Lead, coach, supervise, and provide oversight to training staff.
- Conduct performance reviews and administer Performance Improvement Plans (PIPs) to address performance gaps with clear expectations and support.
- Plan, communicate, and coordinate training and development initiatives.
- Create, implement, and track project plans for training programs.
- Collaborate with the BAS Training organization to establish training programs.
- Perform Knowledge and Skill Assessments for all learning center students.
- Plan, conduct, and coordinate learning activities.
- Develop action plans based on course and student assessments; conduct follow-up meetings with senior management, external agencies, and supporting departments.
- Develop project schedules, presentations, and coordination tools for cross-functional teams.
- Manage the development and maintenance of training curriculum.
- Evaluate training requirements and identify solutions using industry-leading training methods and delivery models.
- Develop and manage budgets based on current and forecasted program needs.
- Plan and coordinate training on new processes and tools; develop instructor competencies.
- Measure the impact of learning activities and ensure alignment with performance-based learning processes.
- Maintain relationships with contract training providers.
- Select, train, and manage instructors and ensure adherence to training standards.
How to thrive in this role?
- Typically, 5 years of aviation technical training experience and 3 years of aviation supervisory experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Aerospace, or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license required.
- Working knowledge of Bombardier aircraft mechanical and avionics systems.
- Understanding of FAA, TCCA, EASA, and other regulatory requirements related to aircraft maintenance.
- Proven planning and organizational skills to manage workload, prioritize tasks, and coordinate multiple projects.
- Effective presentation and communication skills for engaging with all levels of management.
- Working knowledge of budgeting principles, including interpreting financial reports and meeting financial objectives.
- Demonstrated leadership and employee management capabilities.
- Familiarity with current trends and best practices in aerospace technical training.
- Ability to track productivity and evaluate training effectiveness.
- Experience tracking and maintaining student performance assessments.
- Ability to travel periodically for off-site meetings and initiatives.
