What are your contributions to the team?

•    Adhere to General Work Requirements
•    Determine the most cost-efficient method to fabricate, process, assemble, and/or modify flight test aircraft mechanical and electrical/avionics components, assemblies, and related tooling to produce planning documents
•    Review engineering documents to ensure the producibility of flight test mechanical or electrical/avionics parts, components, and/or assemblies and coordinate resolutions as required
•    Produce planning documents on how to manufacture, assemble, or install parts, components, and/or assemblies in flight test aircraft
•    Coordinate and/or liaison with production or BFTC shops to incorporate revisions to planning documents as required
•    Coordinate with material administration regarding purchased items to address possible engineering anomalies
•    Review BFTC databases for anomalies and correct as required to maintain configuration of flight test aircraft
•    Maintain, update, and distribute planning documentation 
•    Enter traveled work packages from other Bombardier sites into appropriate database(s)
•    Coordinate with other departmental personnel to clarify issues regarding planning documentation and revise as required
•    Assist other employees in the performance of their duties within area(s) of qualification
 

How to thrive in this role?

•    Working knowledge of how to build, assemble, and install aircraft mechanical and electrical/avionics parts and components and related tooling 
•    Working knowledge of planning processes incorporating frequent document changes as required
•    Working knowledge of the processes for designing and building tooling for short-run parts
•    Working knowledge of current drafting software (e.g., CATIA)
•    Good computer skills to perform file management and operate spreadsheet, database, word processing, and mainframe applications 
•    Superior problem solving skills pertaining to the successful creation and implementation of planning documents
