In your role, you will:

• Adhere to General Work Requirements

• Prepare, install, and/or mate major aircraft sections, for example, fuselage, vertical/horizontal stabilizers, empennage, wings, and keel beam sections per applicable aircraft model

• Install aircraft assemblies, for example, antennas, insulation, floorboards, and access panels

• Install and/or modify tube assemblies to aircraft, for example, hydraulic, fuel, oxygen, and pneumatic per assigned area

• Assist with repairing and/or replacing fuel cells as required

• Install safety devices, for example, locking nuts, cotter pins, locking tabs, and safety wire

• Assist with installation of aircraft doors, for example, landing gears, cabin entry, emergency/escape, baggage bay, and avionics on applicable aircraft models

• Fit and install panels and fairings

• Assist with balancing control surfaces prior to installation

• Install flight controls and related hardware, for example, flight control surfaces, flight control systems, indicator systems, stall system, and major structural components on applicable models

• Locate and install leveling plate for the purpose of leveling aircraft

• Build, fit, and/or install aircraft systems and assemblies, for example, the following areas: nose, flight deck, cabin, tail cone, wings, and empennage on applicable aircraft models

• Assist with fitting, installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and/or modifying composite and metal assemblies

• Trim and/or modify structures and control surfaces and ensure proper cable clearance between wire bundles and structure

• Repair flight control surfaces, bushings, bearings, wing mounts, stabilizers, and pivot fittings on applicable aircraft models as required

• Troubleshoot and repair installed aircraft systems and assemblies

• Access and re-install aircraft components, which obstruct the performance of assigned tasks

• Assist with jacking and moving aircraft and/or equipment to next station

• Assist other employees in the performance of their duties within area(s) of qualification

• Install and/or service landing gear per applicable aircraft model

• Validate configuration of installed aircraft systems and assemblies and troubleshoot and repair as required

• Troubleshoot and repair installed aircraft systems and assemblies

• Repair and/or replace fuel cells as required

• Install and/or fit aircraft doors, for example, landing gears, cabin entry, emergency/escape, baggage bay, and avionics on applicable aircraft models

• Fit, install, repair, and/or modify composite and metal assemblies

• Balance control surfaces prior to installation

• Install flight controls and related hardware, for example, flight control surfaces, flight control systems, indicator systems, stall system, and major structural components on applicable models

• Support Methods and Engineering to revise documentation of assembly and installation procedures

Qualifications

As our ideal candidate,

• You have 4 years’ experience in aircraft assembly and installation, which must include a minimum of 1 year experience working on Bombardier aircraft

• You have the ability to perform functional tests as required by assigned area

• You have the ability to read and interpret engineering documents

• You have the ability to obtain and renew certifications

• You have sheet metal certification per assigned area(s)

• You have the ability to use and interpret a variety of precision measurement and pneumatic instruments
