What are your contributions to the team?
- Adhere to General Work Requirements
- Service various aircraft systems, for example, hydraulic systems, high pressure air/nitrogen/oxygen systems, alcohol anti-ice system, refrigerated air system, and ground support equipment per applicable aircraft model
- Perform functional tests simulating ground and flight conditions on aircraft mechanical systems, for example, hydraulic system, environmental control system (ECS), anti-ice systems, emergency pneumatic systems, primary/secondary flight control systems, baggage compartment leak rate, and oxygen system
- Weigh aircraft to obtain empty aircraft weight
- Assist with troubleshooting and repairing aircraft hydraulic-mechanical systems to the component level, for example, hydraulic system, ECS, anti-ice systems, emergency pneumatic systems, primary/secondary flight control systems, baggage compartment leak rate, and oxygen system
- Inspect, identify, and repair aircraft parts, components, and systems located in close-out areas
- Assemble and install aircraft components, for example, fitted parts, sheet metal assemblies, component racks and batteries, and crew and slave equipment
- Complete aircraft paperwork and prepare aircraft for turn to flight
- Assist with jacking and moving aircraft and/or equipment to next station
- Analyze hydraulic fluid for contamination on applicable aircraft models and ground support equipment
- Support other areas in functional testing, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical components as problems arise
- Assist other employees in the performance of their duties within area(s) of qualification
- Troubleshoot and repair aircraft hydraulic-mechanical systems to the component level, for example, hydraulic system, environmental control system (ECS), anti-ice systems, emergency pneumatic systems, primary/secondary flight control systems, baggage compartment leak rate, and oxygen system
- Modify aircraft systems and airframe in accordance to engineering specifications
How to thrive in this role?
- You have at least 3 years of experience working on aircraft final assembly and system installation.
- You hold thorough knowledge of mechanical aircraft systems
- You can read and interpret engineering documents
- You can operate ground support equipment
- You have thorough knowledge of safety and operating procedures for power-on aircraft
- You hold working knowledge of electrical aircraft systems
- You can read system schematics
- You have basic knowledge of electrical systems
- You can operate ground support equipment to simulate ground and flight conditions
- You can adjust electrical switches per applicable systems
- You have working knowledge of safety and operating procedures for power-on aircraft
- You are able to obtain and renew certifications
- You are able to obtain CFC certification
- You are able to recognize potential electrical hazards in order to prevent injury to self or others
- You can achieve sufficient technical qualifications to acquire product verification certification
- You are able to troubleshoot, modify, and/or repair mechanical aircraft systems and airframe
