This role is key to helping Bombardier Specialized Aircraft (BSA) grow and diversify. The candidate will work closely with leadership team members within BSA and across other functions and have the following responsibilities:
- Support the BSA growth priority associated with future US government business through market analysis, identification of product solutions and required organizational capabilities
- Collaborate and maintain an effective relationship with internal stakeholders such as Sales, Engineering, Operations, Legal, Finance, IT, Facilities and others.
- Collaborate and maintain an effective relationship with external stakeholders such as Federal and State government departments or agencies, subject matter expert Legal advisors, and industrial partners.
- Define and deliver an implementation plan to achieve the growth priority including to obtain a facility security clearance (“FCL”)
- Identify and manage the creation of required policies and procedures to support the implementation plan
- Identify and manage the implementation of required infrastructure to support the implementation plan
- Develop and deploy a roles and responsibilities definition
- Develop the associated business case including available Federal / State / Local incentives
- Manage and facilitate visits and audits by external stakeholders including but not limited to Defense Counterintelligence & Security Agency (DCSA), Defense Contract Management Agency(DCMA) and others.
Qualifications
As our ideal candidate,
- You hold a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Administration, Law, Finance or other equivalent combination of education and experience.
- You have more than 10 years’ experience in the aerospace industry, preferably in a program management capacity.
- You are an inclusive team player with excellent initiative that allows you to work collaboratively with limited supervision
- You have excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
- You have experience working with senior management, external partners and government representatives
- You can effectively negotiate in-line with business objectives.
- You can manage time and prioritize tasks effectively while working toward aggressive deadlines.
- You have a working knowledge of aircraft, special mission equipment and the associated design, development, test and certification processes.
- You have a working knowledge of the Federal Acquisition Process and the associated processes of the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) or an ability to rapidly comprehend and develop such knowledge.
- You have a working knowledge of implementing Defense Counterintelligence & Security Agency (DCSA) Foreign Ownership, Control or Influence (FOCI) mitigation instruments, or an ability to rapidly comprehend and develop such knowledge.
- You have prior experience in securing a facility security clearance (“FCL”)
- You have a strong working knowledge of Bombardier's policies and processes.
- You may be required to travel (post Covid) and/or work occasional extended hours.
- Prior experience in the defense industry or Government defense departments/agencies will be an asset
- US Citizenship is required and the ability to hold a US Secret clearance will be an asset.
