What are your contributions to the team?

•    This is a full time on-site role   
•    Act primarily as the budget and Earned Value Management System (EVMS) representative of engineering with respect to multiple programs as well as the interface with the Program Management Office
•    Serve amongst a Project Engineering and Integration team for a challenging missionized aircraft program
•    Lead and drive the involvement of multidisciplinary stakeholders to find solutions to project roadblocks, risks and challenges that impact budget / EVMS
•    Ensure that all budget activities are harmonized, and that the delivery of all contract based financial milestones have visibility and are well understood by the team.
•    Communicate with stakeholders (customer, management, team, resources, supplier) such that there is solid alignment and coordination

Act as a Budget Focal

•    Tracks expenses and forecasts future costs 
•    Identify financial discrepancies and overruns 
•    Work with project managers to help ensure the project stays on budget
•    Reviews budget proposals for accuracy and compliance
•    Conduct cost-benefit analyses, and prepare budget reports 
•    Collaborate with key stakeholders to establish budgetary constraints 
•    Identify, flag, and analyze potential financial and budgetary risks and issues
•    Explain complex financial data clearly  
•    Track results and compare them to key financial targets
•    Develop, facilitate and present monthly and quarterly budget reviews and/or as needed
•    Provide visibility and maintains alignment with the Program Management Office
•    Familiarity / Experience with Power BI reporting a plus 
•    Ensure all budgets and financial processes align with company goals
•    Collaborate with executives, project managers, and cross-departmental leadership to set budget goals and ensure they’re followed
•    Develop and maintain an accurate record-keeping system

Act as Earned Value Management System Focal

•    Develop and maintain EVMS baselines
•    Create, prepare and submit reports to internal leadership addressing EVMS metrics, program forecasts, and financial status. 
•    Support the Program Manager and senior leadership.  
•    Develop and maintain EVMS baselines
•    Provide EVMS visibility and maintain alignment with the Program Management Office. 
•    Monitor forecasted completion data and support recommendations to program managers/leads
•    Track EVMS results and comparing them to key financial targets
•    Develop, facilitate and present monthly and quarterly EVMS reviews and/or as needed.
•    Import schedule, resource, and status information from Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) 
•    Import actual costs from the associated accounting system 
•    Train the Project Engineering team how to import their project(s) associated actual costs. 
•    Perform data quality checks and resolve data errors and anomalies 

How to thrive in this role?

•    You hold a bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business and/or Finance.

•    Have 3-5 years’ experience in managing, and monitoring a project's budget to ensure the project stays within financial limits
•    Have 3-5 years’ experience in EVMS to identify project trends, variances, and performance issues. And in comparing actual performance to planned performance thus helping to predict project budgets and completion dates
•    You possess an excellent understanding and relevant experience in the budget and earned value aspects of aircraft development from conceptual design to aircraft certification (preferred)
•    You demonstrate strong leadership and communication skill such that you are able to communicate, align and influence stakeholders.
•    You must have strong communication skills to ensure clear consistent and timely information sharing within the team and across functional areas;
•    You must have proficiency in MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel to generate and give presentations to various levels in the company;
•    You have knowledge of ITAR regulations and previous experience in government and/or military flight operations exposure would be considered an asset;
•    You are eligible to view and handle ITAR material.
•    PMP Certification a plus 
•    Experience with Power BI a plus
•    Experience with Smart Sheets a plus
