What are your contributions to the team?
- Coordinate strategic projects in the logistics team (Schedule changes, Budget, Implementation of new tools and others)
- Liaise and review all cross-functional deliverables (Methods, Quality, Production and Logistics etc.…) to ensure respect of production schedule
- Communicate gaps and risks with stakeholders and management
- Develop and prepare PowerPoint presentations for management
- Coordinate any mitigation plans required to protect the BOM
- Lead backward/forward scheduling for the BOM (Bill of Material)
- Define critical path for BOM within build sequence with cross-functional teams
- Establishes plant-wide manpower forecasts based on the strategic plan and the Master Production Schedules
- Builds “what if” plans from various hypothetical scenario requests from senior management
- Builds production/manufacturing plans
- Assists management in determining inventory policies and build policies
How to thrive in this role?
- You have a bachelor’s degree in Purchasing, Business, Inventory Management or related area or equivalent experience in a Logistics environment.
- You have 5 to 8 years of experience in Materials or Inventory Management.
- You have basic knowledge of MRP principles and supply chain management -experience or knowledge of SAP – Asset
- You have training in Project Management (asset)
- You have a good understanding of processes (Engineering, Logistics, Methods & Quality)
- You are efficient in managing time and priorities
- You have the ability to develop strategies and in managing impact and influence in interacting with various stakeholders
- You have a good knowledge of software such as MS Project and SAP, and are an expert with PowerPoint and Excel
- You have abilities in project management and are at ease in working in a new program environment
- You have good leadership skills in managing major initiatives involving working with internal and external partners
- You have excellent team spirit skills, as well as communicating, leading projects, and delivering successfully
