What are your contributions to the team?
- Troubleshoot, repair, inspect and perform maintenance on customer aircraft
- Fabricate and or modify structural modifications on aircraft parts
- Perform and oversee non-destructive testing (NDT) on aircraft structures and components
- Perform minor structural repairs on composite components either attached or detached
- Assist in conducting hidden damage inspections using NDT techniques
- Review and validate work performed by NDT technicians (Lead responsibility)
- Ensure proper use, calibration, and maintenance of NDT equipment
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members
- Remove and install aircraft components as required to facilitate inspections
- Operate ground support equipment as required
- Comply with environmental health and safety policies/procedures, including those specific to NDT methods (e.g., radiation safety if applicable)
- Participate in 5S and continuous improvement activities
- Perform work in a safe, accurate, and timely manner
- Assist with maintenance or inspection activities at off-site locations as needed
- Coordinate with other maintenance disciplines to support inspection requirements
- Adhere to Bombardier General Work Requirements for factory, shop, and/or hangar positions
How to thrive in this role?

You have received training from a sheet metal aircraft technical school or have equivalent schooling

You must hold an official certification issued under FAR Part 65
-
You typically have at least 3 years working with Corporate aircraft structural sheet metal repair / modification
-
You typically have at least 5 years of experience in structural sheet metal, repair/modification, or a closely related field

You have the ability to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings

You have the ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form on individual and / or aircraft status

You own a basic set of hand tools with the ability to demonstrate Inventory and control of tools

You have the ability to obtain appropriate Ground Support Equipment (GSE) qualifications as required

You are able to work unscheduled overtime including nonscheduled work days and holidays

You are able to work in seasonal/inclement weather outside

You have the ability to obtain a Security Identification Display Area badge (SIDA) if applicable

You have an A Certification, A&P Certificate or Repairman Certificate (preferred) You have basic PC skills
