What are your contributions to the team?
- Partner with senior leadership in defining and executing the strategic vision for BAES Mexico.
- Develop and implement operational and functional strategies aligned with business objectives and long-term growth plans.
- Lead, develop, and inspire a team of Managers, Supervisors, and professional staff through recruitment, performance management, coaching, mentoring, succession planning, and talent development initiatives.
- Ensure operational excellence and accountability for the performance, productivity, and results of multiple business units.
- Establish and oversee business, production, and organizational plans, including governance frameworks, performance metrics, capacity planning, resource allocation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Lead and deliver complex cross-site and global projects, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and successful execution.
- Provide leadership and strategic direction in dynamic and complex business environments, making sound and timely decisions to drive results.
- Optimize workforce planning and organizational effectiveness by defining, managing, and aligning resources with business requirements.
- Partner closely with Finance to develop budget strategies, manage operational expenditures, and ensure effective allocation of resources across sites.
- Foster a culture of operational excellence, collaboration, accountability, and employee engagement.
- Champion and promote the Achieve Excellence System, driving continuous improvement and best practices throughout the organization.
- Support additional strategic initiatives and responsibilities critical to business success.
How to thrive in this role? Skills, knowledge and experience
- Minimum of 12 years of progressive professional experience, with a proven track record of delivering results in complex business environments.
- At least 5 years of leadership experience in a Manager-level role or equivalent, leading managers, supervisors, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Manufacturing experience is required, preferably within the aerospace, automotive, or other highly regulated industries.
- Demonstrated experience leading strategic projects, plant start-ups, operational expansions, or large-scale transformation initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, operational excellence, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Comprehensive understanding of systems and standards and applicable industry standards and regulatory requirements (ISO 9001, QAD, and related frameworks).
- Proven ability to ensure compliance, strengthen operational governance, and implement sustainable improvement strategies across the organization.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to lead in complex environments, manage organizational priorities, and drive strategic decision-making.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and team development capabilities.
- Ability to foster a culture of accountability, engagement, operational excellence, and continuous improvement.
